"The Woman in Black" will be a special homecoming/Halloween production celebrating McNeese State University's 65th anniversary.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 27-29 with a 2 p.m. matinee, Saturday, Oct. 30 before the homecoming football game.
A special Halloween performance is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 31.
Performances are in Ralph Squires Hall, Shearman Fine Arts Center. Wear a Halloween costume and get ready for thrills and chills.
"The Woman in Black," a ghost play, is set in a Victorian theatre, where an actor aids the victim of a vengeful ghost in revisiting the past to exorcise an evil spirit.
As past and present blur, be ready for a nerve-shredding spine-chiller, and one of the most exciting, gripping and successful theatre events ever staged.
Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, Stephen Mallatratt's adaptation of Susan Hill's novel has the intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir.
Two million people have lived to tell the tale of one of the most powerful thrillers that will keep you guessing until the last terrifying moment.
"The Woman in Black" will be directed by John Abegglen. Scenic and lighting design is by Abegglen. Diane Rathbun is the costume designer.
Tickets are $10. McNeese students are admitted free with a current ID. The box office is open 10 days prior to production opening date, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - noon. For reservations, call 475-5043.
